Three different northern Medical Health offices are strongly recommending that northern residents avoid travel outside of their communities, unless it is for essential services.
Citing increasing COVID-19 case numbers in the North…the Saskatchewan Heath Authority, the Athabasca Health Authority and the Northern Inter-Tribal Heath Authority…is specifically advising Northern residents against all non-essential travel outside the Northern Saskatchewan Administrative District as well as travel between communities within the Northern Saskatchewan Administrative District be limited to only for essential services, effective immediately and until further notice. The three Medical Health offices say most of the increase in novel coronavirus cases in the North are linked to travel to areas in the south and out-of-province.
