A drug and weapons bust for Saskatoon Police Tuesday night. Just after nine o’clock, officers conducted a sobriety check on the driver of a camouflage Dodge Neon. It was parked at a convenience store in the 1400 block of Idylwyld Drive North. Officers allege seeing a machete on the floor of the vehicle and as a result, arrested all three occupants. A knife and prepackaged methamphetamine was also allegedly located inside the vehicle. Police say one of the suspects was found to be in possession of over $1,000 cash, fentanyl, and additional methamphetamine. Police say, as the suspect was being booked into Detention, he attempted to ingest the methamphetamine and was subsequently taken to hospital as a precaution.
One of the suspects was later released without charges.
