Russ Mirasty, the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, along with Premier Scott Moe and Opposition Leader Ryan Meili have all released their Christmas Messages for a COVID-dampened Christmas. Mirasty says, “This is a holiday season unlike any other. We cannot gather in large groups, but we can still connect with our family and friends on the phone and online. It’s particularly important to reach out to those who may be alone.” He thanks everyone deeply affected by the pandemic including healthcare workers, educators, workers in essential services, business owners, and performance artists.
The Premier asks that everyone gather this holiday with only those in your household because of the pandemic. But, he says, better days are ahead.
NDP leader Ryan Meili says, this has been a hard year in many ways, but we’ve reason to believe that next year will be better. He asks that we give some thought to how we might reach out to someone who is struggling.
