Rosthern RCMP have released more details about a deadly, two vehicle accident on Highway 12 near Hepburn.
Officers were called out on Tuesday, shortly after 7:00 p.m.
The initial investigation revealed that a southbound vehicle had three occupants and a northbound vehicle had two occupants.
They collided head-on in the north bound lane.
The 56-year-old man driving the southbound car was pronounced dead at the scene.
All other occupants of the vehicles were taken to hospital for what were reported to be injuries not considered life-threatening.
Rosthern RCMP along with STARS air ambulance, local EMS, Hepburn Fire Department, Waldheim Fire Department, a Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist, Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service attended.
Highway 12 reopened in both directions just after midnight on Wednesday.
The investigation is ongoing.
