In the festive mood of the season, many people are thinking about our health-care workers and how we can thank them for all they have done in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dropping off food for them is not the way to go because of pandemic restriction. But, the Saskatchewan Health Authority does have some alternate suggestions.
You can donate to your local health foundation. Contributions go directly to support health-care, the staff, and physicians in your community.
You can show your gratitude virtually. On your personal social media channels, use the hashtag #SKHCW, and give a shout out to staff, physicians, and volunteers. Tag the SHA on Facebook or Twitter (@saskhealth) to help spread the gratitude.
The SHA also encourages everyone to thank the health-care worker in your life, publicly or privately.
And, as always, the biggest way you can show health-care workers how much you care is to stay home, follow the public health orders, practice regular hand hygiene, and do your part to slow the spread of COVID-19.
