Saskatoon Police Service suggests that if you are in the midst of the last minute holiday shopping make sure your purchases are secure from a would-be-thief.
Saskatoon Police Staff Sergeant Andy Kiesman says keep them out of sight and in the trunk or under a cargo cover. As well, if you have a remote start and can lock your vehicle while its running, that’s okay but don’t leave it running with the keys inside.
Police also suggest you can protect packages you’ve ordered online from porch pirates by keeping track of them online, getting an estimate of when your package should arrive and either arrange to be home or have someone pick it up.
