Saskatoon Police say a call they answered yesterday evening resulted in a civilian being shot.

Police were called out at 5:50 p.m. to a domestic dispute involving a man with a weapon in an apartment in the 11-hundred block of Avenue W. North.

Shots were fired while police responded and a man was hurt. He is in hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Regina Police Major Crime Section has been called in to investigate and the Saskatoon Police Service has also requested the Province appoint an independent investigation observer.
