Saskatoon Police responded to a break and enter in progress early this morning (Wed) at a garage in the Massey Place neighbourhood. When officers arrived to the home in the 700 block of Matheson Drive, they noticed a man jumping over a backyard fence into the alley.
A police dog team tracked items discarded along the way including clothing and a backpack, which included items stolen from the garage. The dog led officers to the 3100 block of Milton Street where a man was hiding in a green waste bin. He was transported to hospital with a minor injury from the police dog.
