Two Saskatchewan men are facing numerous drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop on the Alberta side of Lloydminster on New Year’s Day.
Thirty-two-year-old Cory Redman of Montreal Lake and 24-year-old Brendan Strongarm of the Big Island Cree Territory were stopped by Lloydminster R-C-M-P in the area of 48th Street and 50th Avenue. They were arrested for a combined seven breaches of release orders. A subsequent search of their vehicle turned up a large amount of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl plus several weapons and an undisclosed amount of cash. Redman and Strongarm were to appear in Lloydminster, Alberta, Provincial Court Tuesday.
