The provincial government has announced an extension of the application deadline for the Re-Open Saskatchewan Training Subsidy from December 31st to March 31st.
Immigration and Career Training Minister Jeremy Harrison says, “This program has been another important tool to support Saskatchewan businesses as they work through the global COVID-19 pandemic.”
The subsidy was launched last June. The program operates as a temporary training subsidy to assist businesses with financial support to train employees as they adjust to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The province says that employer response to the program has been positive. From the launch date to the end of December, over 600 applications had been approved and $2.5 million in support was committed to affected Saskatchewan businesses.
