Like many clubs and businesses the Nutana Legion has been struggling, since the pandemic began, to keep up with fundraising.

That from President Bill Flahr, who says for a few months after March, the Legion had zero revenue due to their hall and lounge being closed. He says that loss of funding has continued throughout the year and he doesn’t see with the ongoing limits on social gatherings, the hall business coming back before the middle of next year at the earliest.

Flahr says to recuperate some of the costs, along with weekly BBQ’s, jam sessions, and happy hours, the Legion has started a monthly 50/50 draw that is available to the public.  Flahr explains draws happen the last Friday of every month, and at $1200-$1300 it’s a way to help out and win some money.
