A 25 year old man is facing firearm charges after being arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Around nine o’clock Monday night, patrol officers spotted a man in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West who had a warrant for his arrest. He ran off but the officers caught up and arrested him without incident. They were made aware that the suspect had discarded a firearm while he fled. A loaded sawed off .22 calibre rifle was found.
The man remains in custody for a court appearance Tuesday.
