SaskTel says that, due to some ongoing power outages caused by Wednesday night’s storm, they are still experiencing service outages impacting internet services in and around the communities of Beechy and Elrose. Wireless service around Danielson Provincial Park is also affected.
SaskTel technicians are on site. At this point, there is no estimated time of return for these services, and it is likely that these services may not be restored until the power has been fully restored in these areas.

Critical infrastructure sites have back-up batteries to maintain service during power outages. However, these back-ups eventually lose battery life and may fail. SaskTel is working to connect generators to the network sites and to high priority wireless sites to ensure they continue to operate normally.
