A Tuesday afternoon traffic stop by Saskatoon Police led to three arrests and the seizure of methamphetamine and various weapons, resulting in numerous charges.
At about 1:10 p.m. on January 19, a 1999 Ford Explorer was pulled over by patrol officers on a traffic stop in the 200 block of Avenue Q North. The 40-year-old male driver was arrested on numerous outstanding warrants, a 36-year-old male passenger was arrested for obstruction after attempting to provide a false identity while a 38-year-old woman was taken into custody after she was found in possession of bear spray, a taser, a knife, a scale, 15 grams of methamphetamine and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking. Police also searched the backpack of the 36-year-old male and found bear spray, a taser, an imitation firearm, counterfeit money, methamphetamine and a scale.
