Around 5:40 Thursday afternoon, Saskatoon Police received a call to 21st Street and 2nd Avenue about three males with metal pipes who were fighting.
Officers arrived to find a 31 year old man suffering from a serious injury. Medavie Health Services took him to hospital where his condition was upgraded to life-threatening. He was last reported to be in stable condition.
Then, almost an hour later, there was another call, to the 100 block of 2nd Avenue South about a man who had been hit with a machete. Officers found a 20 year old with an injury not considered life-threatening . Medavie Health Services took him to hospital. Police say the two events are related but, at this time, it is unknown if the victims and suspects are known to each other.
Just before nine o’clock Thursday night, Saskatoon Police were called to the 100 block of Avenue V South about a woman who had been stabbed.
Patrol officers found the 29 year old suffering from two stab wounds, which are not believed to be life-threatening. She was taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services.
The suspect is a boy, about 13 to 15 years old, wearing all black clothing. The victim and suspect are unknown to each other. The investigation is ongoing.
