Joe Flacco’s younger brother will be attending Saskatchewan Roughriders’ training camp.
The Green and White made a 51st and 52nd signing to their pre-season roster in the last five weeks Friday, announcing that quarterback Tom Flacco and offensive lineman Andrew Lauderdale, both imports, will be at the 2021 camp. Tom Flacco is a 26-year-old Towson grad who was in the running for the Walter Payton Award in, both, 2018 and 19. Meanwhile, an undrafted New Hampshire grad in 2017, Lauderdale has spent time on the N-F-L practice rosters of San Francisco and Buffalo. Following are the news releases from the Riders…

RIDERS SIGN QUARTERBACK TOM FLACCO
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American quarterback Tom Flacco.
Flacco (6’1-205lbs) joins the Roughriders after a strong collegiate career that had him the running for the Walter Payton Award in back-to-back years.
Flacco left Towson third in passing touchdowns (50), sixth in passing yards (6,086) and sixth in passing completions (484), amassed over just two seasons. In his senior year, Flacco was named All-CAA Second Team, finishing the regular season with 2,831 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and just six interceptions while adding 324 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
As junior, the 26-year-old finished fifth in voting for the 2018 Walter Payton Award and was the ECAC Offensive Player of the Year and the CAA Offensive Player of the Year. He also earned All-CAA First Team and HERO Sports FCS All-America Third Team. That year he matched the Towson single-season record with 28 passing touchdowns and threw for 3,251 passing yards while also adding 742 yards on the ground.
Prior to Towson, Flacco played two seasons at Western Michigan earning 188 passing yards and 266 rushing yards as a freshman.
In addition to football, Flacco played baseball at Towson and in 2019 was second on the team in stolen bases and played in 44 games.

- American offensive lineman Andrew Lauderdale
Lauderdale (6’6-291 lbs) comes to the Roughriders after two seasons in the NFL. He initially signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and went on to spend time on the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills practice rosters.
At the University of New Hampshire Lauderdale appeared in 42 collegiate games and made 22 starts over five years as a Wildcat. As a senior in 2016 he started 13 games at left tackle, earning Third-Team All-CAA honours, and helped the offence average 181.2 rushing yards per game and 4.6 yards per rush. In his 2014 sophomore season, Lauderdale converted from tight end to offensive lineman and appeared in all 14 games. A gifted all-around athlete, the New Hampshire native also played basketball and threw shot put as a prep athlete. In 2012, he placed 3rd in the New Hampshire Division II State Championships with a throw of 46 feet, 6 inches.
