The Regina Police Service says a 36 year old man has been taken into custody because he refuses to abide by Public Health Orders to self-isolate after testing positive for COVID-19.
Thursday evening around 7:30, officers were dispatched to a downtown hotel which houses those who are required to self-isolate, but may not have the resources or living accommodations to do so.
Police were told the man had left the building several times.
He was first transported to hospital in Regina and then to Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford, which has a closed custody wing.
