The W-H-L and Kamloops Blazers released statements Sunday night with regards to a snowboarding accident from this past weekend involving 19-year-old Kamloops forward and Aberdeen, Saskatchewan product Kyrell Sopotyk.

He suffered life-altering injuries from the accident and the family of his Blazers’ team-mate Connor Zary has started a “Go-Fund Me” page on-line. It is designed to Help Sopotyk and his family with possible renovations, health care costs and any additional supports,” and had far surpassed its $50,000 goal in less than 15 hours!
