The I-G Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is held annually across Saskatchewan, and that continues this year but with a twist because of the pandemic. Prince Albert’s fundraiser runs all this week and if you would prefer not to walk outside because of the cold, you can instead do something indoors like hitting the treadmill or trying some yoga.
Event coordinator Angela Hodel also explains that the annual walk is one of the larger fundraisers for the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan. Its programs and services help individuals and families affected by dementia to live well and the funds raised also go to research into the cause, the cure and to find improvements for quality of life.
The link to join the Prince Albert virtual Walk for Alzheimer’s is here. The event continues through Saturday, but Hodel says if next week works better for you, you can do your virtual walk at that time, but she urges you to register this week.
