Two Saskatchewan technology companies are collaborating instead of competing against each other. The founder of TrustedSaskatoon.com, Sara Wheelwright, says her business is a web-based directory which can be a one-stop shop for customers looking for a service or product where that business has already been vetted for reliability and quality. She describes FIX IT UP out of Regina as a business that has developed software which allows for service quotes online.
Wheelwright says having service quotes available online was something that has been requested by TrustedSaskatoon’s clients before, but it would have added to much to the cost of the website. She considers their two technologies a perfect fit. Wheelwright believes that local businesses like TrustedSaskatoon and FIX IT UP should actively seek out collaboration opportunities in order to further their success. She believes a community whose tech sector collaborates is crucial for the success of the technology industry in the province.
