Two people in their sixties, one person in their fifties, and one individual over the age of 80 died from COVID-19.
The deaths were from the North West, Far North West, South East and Regina zones. The person in their fifties was from the North West Zone.
The Saskatoon Zone had about one-third of the new COVID-19 cases reported on Sunday. This is the breakdown by region: Saskatoon (82), North West (29), Regina (26), Far North West (25), Far North East (24), North Central (19), South East (10), Central East (8) and there were single cases in the South West, South Central and Central West zones. Twelve additional cases are pending residence information.
Two hundred and three (203) people are in hospital, including 31 in intensive care. The ICU cases are located in Saskatoon (13), Regina (11), Central East (4), North West (2) and North Central (1).
There were 2,459 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Saturday. The seven-day average of daily new cases is 241. (19.7 new cases per 100,000 population)
The number of active COVID-19 cases stands at 2,534. The total number of of provincial cases to date stands is 23,864.
One hundred and twenty vaccines doses were administered on Saturday—109 in the Saskatoon zone and 11 in the Far North Central zone. The total number of vaccines delivered to date is 35,359.
