This year’s Fireworks Festival will be enjoyed by residents from the comfort of their own home.
Shad Ali, President of the Saskatoon Fireworks Festival says you can now register to see this year’s edition in a virtual way. On February 13th from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. there will be a special Valentine’s presentation to kick off the start of family week. Ali says there will be 2 unique fireworks shows, choreographed to music. Ali explains there will be three musical guests, newcomer Katelyn Lehner, crooner Graham Dyck and Jay Semko of the Northern Pikes.
There will be no on-site viewing this year, and due to COVID-19 restrictions the fireworks site will actually be guarded by security to keep people from gathering.
Ali says the only way to view the show in person is to book a room at a hotel with a view of the river.
Otherwise people can view it virtually, at home in their family bubbles, by signing up before February 13th on their website.
There is no cost to view this year’s edition of the Nutrien Fireworks Festival.
