The Saskatoon and District Labour Council is hosting their 21st annual Labour Day barbecue today (mon). The barbecue will run from 11:30 to 1:30 in Victoria Park near the Riversdale Pool.

The event is free of charge and donations from local unions, businesses and volunteers allow for the event to continue. Many unions have organized live entertainment and children’s activities.

The Labour Council says Labour Day is about recognizing the contributions of workers to society and the contributions of unions to the well-being of our communities and country.
