Two down, four more to go…including Saskatchewan!
The governor for the State of Washington has approved the W-H-L’s return to play plan and protocols. Four of the five U-S Division teams are located in the state…the Spokane Chiefs, Tri-City Americans, Everett Silvertips and Seattle Thunderbirds. The state’s approval allows the four W-H-L teams to play at home, but without fans…at least to start the 24-game regular-season. The Portland Winterhawks are waiting on similar approval from the State of Oregon to return to play. The W-H-L has yet to confirm the approval and indicate a planned start date…such as the February 26 opening for the five teams in Alberta.
