The largest field ever for a Scotties Tournament of Hearts will not have a “Page” Playoff format for the first time in several years.

The 18 teams have been split into two pools for round-robin play…after which the top four from each pool will advance to the playoff round. From there, the first place team gets a bye into the final and awaits the winner of a semi-final between the second and third place squads. Play in the Calgary curling bubble starts Friday evening, February 19 and runs through Sunday, February 28. Saskatchewan is in Pool B with the Tracy Fleury/Chelsea Carey wild-card entry from Winnipeg plus Manitoba, B-C, P-E-I, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nunavut and Newfoundland. Sherry Anderson’s Saskatoon foursome plays their first game on Saturday morning, February 20, against Prince Edward Island.
