One of the items that was most sought out at the beginning of the pandemic was hand sanitizer, when led to companies switching their product lines to help with supply, including some local companies. According to Statistics Canada, demand for hand sanitizer increased by 735 per cent in the second week of March last year.
If you have seen varying percentages on hand sanitizers, it doesn’t mean one is more effective than another, there are federal regulations to follow. Any products containing ethanol can contain between 60 and 80 per cent and for isopropanol it’s 70 to 75 per cent.
