A Saskatchewan shooting range has scrubbed a planned shooting contest to determine which People’s Party of Canada candidate would take part in an election debate.
Mark Friesen says he and Guto Penteado agreed on the target shooting contest after they were told only one of them could take part in the upcoming debate in Saskatoon, where they are both running.
The skills contest at the Saskatoon Wildlife Federation range was set to be broadcast today (Tues) on social media.
But federation spokesman Robert Freberg says the event doesn’t fit with the organization’s focus on education and won’t be taking place. (Canadian Press)
