John Dolan School is moving to Level 4 of the provincial Safe Schools Plan.
On Monday, the school division was notified of the first positive case of COVID-19 at the school and one classroom was closed due to an isolation order. John Dolan School provides a specialized education program for students with multiple disabilities and those who are medically fragile.
To date, Saskatoon Public Schools has been notified of only one positive case at the school. Students will move to online learning for Thursday and Friday, before the February break. In-person classes are expected to resume February 22.
Since the start of the school year, Saskatoon Public Schools has had 221 positive cases at 51 locations in the division, including the board office.
Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools says the Saskatchewan Health Authority has found a positive COVID-19 case in an individual at Holy Cross High School. Risk of exposure for anyone not considered a close contact remains low.
The affected cohort will switch to online instruction.
