The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Regina man with two child pornography offences in relation to an investigation that began last May. The ICE Unit received a complaint from American authorities of a 13-year-old girl from Georgia being lured online through several chat platforms. On Tuesday, members of the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Regina where several electronic devices were seized for further forensic analysis.
22 year old Dakota Suwala, of Regina was arrested and has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Luring a Child.
He was released from custody and will next be appearing in Regina Provincial Court on June 28th.
