For the second time in a week, a new natural gas usage record has been set. SaskEnergy says a new record of 1.59 petajoules was set in the 24 hour period between 9 on Thursday morning and 9 this morning (Fri). The previous record of 1.57 petajoules was set on Tuesday.
SaskEnergy reports that this is the eighth winter in a row that the usage record has been matched or broken. The Crown Corporation explains that the records are being broken because of residential, business and industrial customer growth.
