A Regina bus driver has been charged under the Traffic Safety act, after a pedestrian was hit on Saturday.
At around 10:08 p.m. Regina police say they were called out to 12th Avenue and Lorne Street for a collision between a transit bus and a pedestrian. Police report the bus was eastbound making a northbound turn onto Lorne street when the pedestrian was struck in the intersection, as they were crossing the street. Regina EMS responded and treated the pedestrian, who was transported to the Regina General Hospital with minor injuries.
The transit driver has been charged with failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian under the Traffic Safety Act.
