The government of Saskatchewan is reminding residents to keep plans within your immediate household this Family Day. The province says keeping COVID-19 transmission low means building best public heath practices into all your plans during Family Day week too.
The ministry of health recommends taking the opportunity to get outdoors for physical and mental health, even if it means dressing in extra layers. Outdoors you are able to gather in groups of ten with two metres of physical distancing between household groups. It’s recommended that food should not be shared between non-household groups.
The province also requests people stay close to home this week, and avoid non-essential travel. Traveling outside Saskatchewan borders means you will be subject to the public health requirements for that jurisdiction, including mandatory quarantine upon return from any international destination.
