Back on February, 8th, Parkland Alberta RCMP charged James Coates, the Pastor of Gracelife church in Parkland County with contravening the Public Health Act for his church being over-capacity and failing to adhere to the physical distancing rules required as a result of COVID-19. On Sunday, officers were back at the church monitoring the morning service. The church can’t be at more than 15 per cent capacity under the regulations. Once again, it was alleged the church failed to comply and, as a result, RCMP are furthering their investigation with an outcome expected midweek.
