This week Saskatoon residents can view an art installation that is looking ahead to “Life After a Pandemic”.
Spokesperson Shad Ali, says the ECLAT Lighting initiative recently invited students from Princess Alexandra School in Saskatoon to come up with photos, pictures and drawings of life after COVID-19. He says the art is being projected from the Persephone onto the ALT Hotel across the street. Ali explains the project starts with young people to give good insight on how they are thinking and feeling on where we are likely to go, and how we might get there.
Ali says with the art project on the front wall of the hotel, they wanted it to be somewhere public where people could come by and not have to gather.
It can be viewed every night from sunset until 10 p.m. ending on Saturday. The project will eventually be made available on the WinterShines website.
