The Regina Police Service have issued their 25th ticket related to COVID-19, since the pandemic began.
On February 11th Regina Police say they responded to a domestic conflict call, involving an argument of someone who was COVID-19 positive not self-isolating. Police responded with personal protective equipment and escorted a 47 year-old man to his home.
Officers report the man was agitated and appeared intoxicated, and did not serve him with the ticket until the following day.
The 47 year-old was fined $2800 for failing to isolate after being confirmed of testing positive for COVID-19, by the Saskatchewan Health Authority. This was the 17th ticket issued by Regina Police since the beginning of the year.
