Almost three-and-a-half years after a fire at a mobile home in Lemsford Ferry Regional Park, an arrest has been made. The park is located an hour south of Kindersley. A mobile home was completely destroyed the morning of October 1st, 2017 and a man and woman inside were taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The initial investigation deemed the cause as inconclusive but in February 2019, Leader RCMP say they received information indicating the fire wasn’t accidental and the man who was injured in the fire was allegedly responsible.
On February 16th, last Tuesday, 51 year old Kirk Andrew Rudolph of Prince Albert was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, arson, obstructing justice and counselling to commit public mischief. A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was picked up last Thursday in the Yukon.
Yukon RCMP say he will likely be facing firearms charges from their jurisdiction as well, after they seized a number of firearms and ammunition from the suspect’s vehicle and location where he was found.
Kirk Randolph is in Regina court Monday morning.
