Daniel Dean from the RM of Britannia is in Lloydminster court in Saskatchewan March 9th and in Lloydminster court in Alberta March 16th, all in connection to charges laid in a break and enter investigation.

The break and enters targeted small business with ATMs either inside the business or in the lobbies of the the buildings. There were eight B&E’s between December 2019 and February 2020 where suspects used a vehicle to break in causing extensive damage.

In July 2020 police executed a search warrant at a home in the RM of Britannia which is located northeast of Lloydminster in Saskatchewan. Police say they found evidence linked to the break and enters as well as a stolen firearm, 1.7 kilograms of cannabis and 203 cannabis plants in various stages of growth.

Daniel Dean is facing multiple charges in Saskatchewan for B&E, weapons and drugs, as well, Alberta RCMP have charged his with four counts of break and enter. RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and other suspects have not been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Walburg RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

The Frenchman Butte Enhanced Policing Unit headed the investigation with the assistance of several affected RCMP Detachments in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Specialized units such as the Forensic Identification Section, Divisional Criminal Analytical Section, General Investigation Section and local detachments worked together to identify a suspect in the matter.
