SGI says of the 992 infractions, 446 were for disobeying a stop sign, while 165 were for not stopping at a red light and another 125 tickets were issued for U-turns at a traffic light. Spokesperson Tyler McMurchy says fines for these infractions cost 230 dollars. McMurchy says law enforcement also focused on train crossings, where 26 drivers were ticketed for disobeying stop signals. In addition, 4,517 tickets issued for aggressive driving or speeding, 301 people were caught driving impaired, and 554 tickets were issued for distracted driving.
