While the Saskatoon Blades have six players away at N-H-L rookie camps now, the Prince Albert Raiders have nine potential returnees at camps.
Seven of the nine are overagers, from which only three can be back…defenceman Max Martin in Boston, goaltender Ian Scott and blueliner Sergei Sapego with Toronto, forward Parker Kelly in Ottawa, forward Brett Leason with Washington, D-man Brayden Pachal with Vegas and blueliner Zack Hayes in Anaheim. Forwards Cole Fonstad, with Montreal, and Aliaksei Protas, with the Capitals, are expected to return to the Raiders.
On the Bridge City Bunch side, centre Kirby Dach (Chicago), left winger Riley McKay (Blackhawks), defenceman Nolan Kneen (Colorado), blueliner Scott Walford (Winnipeg), forward Eric Florchuk (Washington) and centre Chase Wouters (Ducks) are, presently, attending N-H-L Rookie camps.
None of the campers will be in the line-ups for either Saskatoon or Prince Albert Friday when the teams meet in their annual pre-season contest at the Legends Centre in Warman. First face-off is 7 o’clock.
