Saskatoon Light and Power is echoing SaskPower’s warning about scam messages which look like they are from them saying customers are owed a refund. The message offers a web link where you are asked to put in your banking information. Scammers use the information to get money or commit identity theft.

A number of residents have contacted the City about this. Saskatoon Light & Power reminds everyone these types of messages are never from the utility company or the City of Saskatoon. Neither requests or collects credit card or bank information by phone, text or email.
