The University of Saskatchewan is on track to have its highest enrollment ever.
The number of students registered on the first day of classes indicate an increase of 1.6-percent for 2019-20.
The assistant vice-provost of strategic enrollment management projects growth in graduate and undergraduate programs.
Allison Pickrell expects enrollment to exceed 26-thousand by the end of the academic year which would be the highest in U-of-S history.
Pickrell attributes the higher enrollment to increases in some existing programs as well as new courses outside Saskatoon and the country.
She also expects record numbers for international students who are already up 5.5-percent and the Indigenous student compliment which has increased 6.1-percent.
