The 10th and final Saskatchewan Blue Cross Go out and Play Challenge is underway. 38 communities are trying to win the $10 thousand grand prize. The challenge is designed to remind community leaders about the importance of spaces for outdoor play. Whichever community moves the most during the challenge wins the grand prize for a project that gets kids and families out to play. Marnie Forsberg, Manager of Saskatchewan in Motion says it’s especially important during this time of COVID to get kids moving.
During the challenge, which goes until March 10th, registered communities encourage residents to log physical activity minutes every day. The community with the most minutes wins. Assiniboia won last year. They logged over 435 thousand minutes of activity.
Individuals and families can create profiles and track their daily activity online March 1-10 at: challenge.saskatchewaninmotion.ca.
