A Swift Current woman is in court Monday facing charges in connection to a homicide in the southwest Saskatchewan community. Multiple RCMP detachments from around the province completed their examination of three scenes connected to what was initially characterized as a suspicious death.
Last Thursday night around 11:30, Swift Current Municipal RCMP responded to a call about an injured female at an apartment building in Swift Current and prior to being taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police say she told them there was a second injured person. That victim was found a few blocks away in another apartment building. She was deceased and an autopsy has been scheduled for Monday in Regina.
Roxanne Poundmaker, 34 years old, has been charged with Second Degree Murder in connection to the death of Chasity Poundmaker and Attempted Murder of Lucinda Poundmaker.
