The two COVID-19 deaths are from younger demographics, including someone in the 19 and under age group from the North West zone. The other death was a person in their 40’s from the Far North West Zone.
Regina had the highest number of new cases at 50. Saskatoon was a distant second with 19, followed by North Central (8), Central East (8), Far North West (6), South East (6), North West (6), South Central (5), Far North East (3), Central West (2), South West (2) and Far North Central (1).
There were 2,263 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan yesterday.
One hundred and thirty-six people are in hospital, down six from Saturday. There was no change in the number of people in intensive care at 22.
A total of 1,428 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the following regions: Saskatoon (522), North West (388), Regina (292) and North Central (226).
Pfizer vaccines shipments are expected to arrive on Tuesday and Wednesday. Saskatoon and Regina will each receive 3,510 doses on Tuesday, while North Battleford will get 4,680 doses on Wednesday. Smaller amounts—1,170 doses—are expected to reach Prince Albert and Yorkton on Wednesday.
