Almost thirty charges have been laid against two people believed involved an erratic driving report that led to an investigation of several break and enters in the Yorkton area last Friday.
Drew Cyr and Victoria Isaac, both from Regina, were in Yorkton Provincial court on Monday and were remanded in custody until their next court appearance March 17th.
Late afternoon Friday, RCMP received reports of a vehicle heading west leaving Yorkton on Highway 52 cutting off other vehicles and driving at oncoming traffic before hitting the ditch, which is when two people inside were seen taking off on foot.
While searching for the occupants of the vehicle, RCMP got another call from a nearby home owner who had arrived at their house and noticed two people inside. The suspects fled while police were en route.
Yorkton RCMP pursued the two suspects by following their tracks in the snow and when those tracks led to a second home, officers spotted two people inside. Yorkton RCMP confirmed with the homeowners weren’t home and got permission to go inside where they arrested a man and woman.
