A pilot COVID-19 drive-thru immunization clinic is proceeding today (Monday) in Regina.

The clinic is for people who are 64 years-old only, and the Saskatchewan Health Authority says security checkpoints will be set-up to verify this. Participants will be receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine which is so far only approved in Canada for those aged 18-64.

The drive-thru runs until 7:30 p.m. at the Regina Exhibition Association and it first come first serve for those who meet the current eligibility. Participants will need their health card or valid identification, a mask and will need to stay 15 minutes after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The SHA says the site is expected to open for additional ages, from oldest to youngest soon.
