The Surrey, BC RCMP have seized approximately $20,000 in cash and over 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine. BC Mounties say their investigation began February 15th when they launched a project targeting suspected drug trafficking.
On Monday, the investigation led officers to a parking lot where they observed suspected drug activity. One man who left the parking lot was arrested nearby and allegedly was in possession of the 20-grand. A second man was observed allegedly throwing a container out of his vehicle which is where the 1 kilo of meth came from.
This all led to a search warrant where another 554 grams of suspected crystal meth, drug paraphernalia, drug packaging materials, and a replica glock handgun were seized. Officers say they also located stolen identification, cheques and license plates. The drugs seized were equivalent to over 6000 doses and three people were arrested.
