Saskatoon Police officers report finding a man in the trunk of a vehicle after stopping a vehicle around 11 o’clock Tuesday night.
Patrol officers conducted the traffic stop in the 100 block of Avenue U South for a missing tail light and for a sobriety check.
Police allege seeing a can of bear spray near the woman who was driving the vehicle, so she was arrested.
Then, during a search police allege numerous pills, drug packaging, a scale and more bear spray.
Police say that upon opening the trunk a man was found inside and there was a brief altercation as officers arrested the man who attempted to destroy evidence of the drugs.
Two 35 year olds from Saskatoon are charged with possession for the purpose or trafficking cocaine, heroin, and clonazepam, possession of hydromorphone, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
The man was also charged with obstruction and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.
