One man is facing firearms-related charges after an armed robbery on Saturday afternoon. Shortly after two o’clock, patrol officers were sent to a home in the 500 block of Avenue H North for a reported armed robbery. Police learned that two individuals, who are known to the victims, arrived at the residence, allegedly demanding property. One suspect is reported to have threatened the victims with a handgun prior to stealing items and fleeing. No one was injured.
About two hours later, members from Patrol and the Tactical Support Unit went to a residence in the 300 block of Avenue T South and arrested a man without incident. Police allege he was carrying two imitation firearms.
The 39 year old is charged with Uttering Threats to Cause Death and nine firearms-related offences including Robbery with a Firearm.
