- Vaccine booking eligibility has expanded once again and as of Friday, eligible groups will include anyone 58 years of age and older.
As well, those 50 years of age and older living in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, all remaining phase one health care workers, and people with underlying health conditions who are clinically extremely vulnerable through an eligibility letter, can book vaccinations.
Individuals 50 to 57 years of age living in the Northern Administration District and all remaining phase one health care workers cannot book online and must book by phone.
People meeting this criteria can book their appointment online 24/7 using their health card; or call 1-833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. Visit here for the Saskatchewan Health Authority official announcement.
However, more vaccination clinics have been announced which begin on Friday and run through next Wednesday. The province says Saskatchewan is scheduled to receive around 55,000 doses of AstraZeneca between today (Thursday) and April 7th, so the Saskatchewan Health Authority is expediting the opening of additional drive thru and walk through clinics in Regina, Saskatoon, Yorkton, Moose Jaw, Weyburn, Swift Current, Prince Albert, Lloydminster and North Battleford.
For the regular clinics where you make an appointment ahead, the age limit will be lowered to 58 tomorrow, but these additional clinics will be for anyone 55 and older and they will be first come, first serve. Specifics on the hours haven’t been ironed out yet.
